Department: Community ProgramsApplication Deadline: September 15, 2017 Salary: Based on experience and qualifications, up to $16.10/hour depending on experience.Degree Requirement: HS diploma or equivalent required; college degree desired.Required Qualifications: Excellent customer service skills. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically MS Word, Excel, Publisher, and Outlook. Experience storing, retrieving and compiling information using database and spreadsheet software. Demonstrated ability to use Internet, desktop publishing, form and report design skills. Some knowledge of supervisory practices and ability to maintain a time management system. Minimum of five years with increasing responsibilities in administrative/secretarial positions. Experience working in a higher education institution.Preferred Qualifications: Web page editing and design experience; Social media administrator experience; College degree.Responsibilities: The Administrative Assistant II for Community Programs coordinates activities and provides a high level of administrative, management and secretarial support to the Dean of Community Programs and Governmental Relations. This position handles many projects independently and handles highly confidential, sensitive, and political issues. The AAII acts as liaison and coordinates, communicates and collaborates between departmental units, the campus community, community members, and executives and officials at the local/state/federal levels.
