**Requisition Number** 23966 **Employment Type** Fulltime - Regular **Location** Thunder Jet Boats **Job Description** **Brunswick Thunder Jet** **Job Description:** Carpet **Job Title:** Carpet/Upholsterer **POSITION SUMMARY:** Cover aluminum and wood parts with carpet and vinyl by glue or stapling **WORK ETHIC REQUIREMENTS:** This position requires a high level of personal dependability demonstrated through prefect attendance, a high level of productivity demonstrated through hustle, a high level of team work demonstrated through a readiness to learn and assist in other jobs and a high aptitude for quality demonstrated by work that is free from defects as well as a high level of safety that is demonstrated by the absence of personal injury or work accidents. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Carry various sizes of metal, wood and carpet pieces to and from work stations from 2 to 50 lbs. + Apply glue to metal, wood and carpet pieces using air gun + Adhere carpet to metal and wood pieces using hands to compress, stretch and pull carpet + Trim excess carpet from metal and wood pieces using scissor and/or utility knife + Staple carpet to wooden pieces using pneumatic stapler + Preassembles hardware using air rivet gun, bucker or air drill + Maintain a clean work area **Job Requirements** **QUALIFICATIONS:** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ration and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. **REASONING ABILITY:** This position requires the ability to reason and determine acceptable for unacceptable product quality, personal behavior and productivity. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Exposed to noise, dust, fumes and odors on a daily basis. Physical exertion is required.
